Many thanks to Alan Harding, mechanic Jason and driver Ry Lindsay for all of their help and advice at Bruntingthorpe last week.They enabled two of our young drivers (Cal Foreman and Russ Pinks) to experience the thrill of single-seater racing cars for the first time.Both of the lads learned an enormous amount that will hold them in good stead in the future.Alan and the AHS Team planned the day really well. B spec sounds a good idea and the proposed rules make sense. My only observations are...
1- Not sure of the need to specify that the shocks have to be steel as the main benefit from the B spec rules is the constraint on the base suspension layout.
2- Going to points seems a bit too much of a backward step. Perhaps specify that only Luminition type points replacement systems are allowed?
Any thoughts...?

The idea of running a group " B " seems to have struck a raw nerve with one of the manufacturers i see in the latest issue ofVEE NEWS today. I rather like the idea myself as the new style cars are so good ,that the hope of winning anything is just " all in the mind "
