Cadwell what a result
09/07/2008
Fridays test brought home the fact that Cadwell takes no prisoners, those caught out were Detlef who was getting quicker and quicker until he parked it backwards into the tyre wall and that ended his weekend and infact his season. The next was Neil Hurren who is working his way through all of the corners with armco in the country, but this time it was not his fault as a burst brake line was responsible. Danny Hands and Jon Hughes both secomed to Cadwells banks and had running repairs to attend to.
Saturdays testing went quite well for us with Paul Smith at the sharp end on both days and finished 3rd on Saturday and 1st on Sunday with fastest lap. Great result Smiggy can we have some more please. Steve Ough had a good weekend with two 9th places. Paul taylor had a DFN on the Sat due to brain fade but a very good 8th on the Sunday.Gordon Beshaw went well for his first visit to Cadwell, but the biggest improvement by far was Maryellen who had the car fail to start on the Saturday while on the grid due to the coil burning out, but never the less made good progress on the Sunday and I for one was proud of her achivement.
With out the willingness of the people around the AHS team things would be a lot harder so I feel a few need a mention, Jason worked with out taking a breath or time out for food, untill I thought he might collapse. He had tobe compelled to a lunch break on Sunday in order to give him a well earnt breather. Phil Bear again worked on others cars with out complaint or reward, and of cause the others who turn out rain or shine to enable us to continue to provide the service to our friends and costomers. So to all who help AHS thankyou and see you at Donnington for more of the same
