Anglesey
10/06/2008

The weather was fine clear and hot, the circuit is excellent, the staff and managment all first rate, and PAUL SMITH GOT HIS FIRST WIN since moving over to AHS power.Paul Steve and Hazel worked hard to maintain the car all weekend after the gearbox failed, Paul had pole for both Saturday and Sunday, but due to an accident 2nd lap on Sunday the race was cancelled with out a result although Paul was leading by about 10 car lengths what a bummer. All of team AHS wish Jenny Anderson a quick recovery and the very best of luck.
Others, Steve Ough never got to grips with the new track but still out run his other team mates Alan Robinson and Simon Readman who started from the back of the grid and finished in 13th not bad! James Conyers and Gordon Beshaw both finished well, and last but not least Maryellen Cheal finished her first race with a very large smile on her face. Phil Foster had problems on sat when his distributor failed it was replaced for the Sunday round and all seemed good for the short time he had on track. Paul Taylor also had bad luck on the Saturday he was a little late of the line but soon got into the thick of it and up into 6th place untill a heavy bump to the rear of the car shorted a wire out and caused the car to miss fire as the battery drained, he managed 9th which under the circumstanced was a good result.
Finally a big thankyou to Jay, Glyn, Simon, Phil Bear, Steve for your help
