Cadwell Park
22/07/2007

Cadwell Park
With only one week between Pemb Tim Hill in twenty sixth. As qualifying was wet everyone had to be somewhat cautious; nobody wants to drive (in some cases four hours plus) to a circuit only to stuff your pride and joy into the barriers and drive home again. The race itself started dry but the weather looked as though it could change at any time, this has in itself problems on how to set up the cars. Too stiff and if it rains your car will be sliding, under- steering and over-steering. Too soft and it stays dry you will not be as fast and could possibly overheat your tires and start to slip and slide too much. Our boys
rey and Cadwell Park to prepare the damage to our cars we have had a very busy time. We only took five of our regular drivers with us plus assisted four more. For various reasons not everybody could enter this round of the championship; this in turn negated the need for a heat and somewhat rarely for Vee there was only one race. Once again Ryan Lindsay was our top man in twelfth position, Paul Taylor was next up albeit just over a half of one second slower. Steve Ough had fifteenth, Stuart Feather eighteenth, Miles Southerton twenty first the much travelled Detlef Brehmer in twenty fourth and the hard trying

were going to have a bit of a tough time coming through the field as Cadwell is not the easiest place to pass, especially if the driver in front defends there position. This proved to be the case; Ryan made up three places to finish in ninth place in a race that saw the heavens open up and release some very heavy rain towards the end. This again made Ryan our top placed driver with Paul Taylor next but one, Steve Ough finished in thirteenth, Miles Southerton seventeenth with Stuart Feather and Detlef Brehmer twentieth and twenty first. Sadly Tim Hill’s valiant efforts came to nought in what is a little bit of a trying year for the quick but somewhat luckless at times driver. At the moment everything is very busy at AHS H.Q. due to the amount of repairs and preparation to be carried out. This is in part the reason for the slight delay in our race reports; my apologies for the wait.
