Lap record at Brands Hatch

Congratulations to Paul and Steve Smith, first time out with the new engine and carb set up and takes the lap record at Brands Hatch which has stood since 2003, Paul was very pleased with his new kit although the weekend was plaged with miss fires and fluffy throttle responce. He also managed to finish in second place on Saturday, unfortunatly he was involved in an accident on the second lap on the Sunday race which put pay to another result, and was still second fastest on track.
Steve Ough had similar luck and ended up on the recovery truck, he was also quicker at Brands than he had ever been befor. As luck has it we had a spare car which Steve used for the rest of the weekend and seemed to be having a lot of fun. Steve is the Vee drivers rep but to remain so needs your vote so please remember to send in you vote they all count.
Now the Dans
Dan Brigham was driving better than he had all season so far, I would guess 40% improvement unfortunatly an engine fault on Sunday religated him to the side lines. Watch out for him at Combe where I predict a top 8 finish. (thats put the kiss of death on it Dan)
Dan Pitchard was a man on a mission, friday saw the gear box die but replced over night and back out the following morning, Dan was on fire. We are working on a new set of manafolds and cylinder head mods and hope that we can squeeze another couple of HP out of the AHS Leastone.
Glyn Davis got out there and returned with a very respectable time and it was mentioned that at some point in the day while hiding in the toilets he was spotted with a smile on his face. I dont believe it, not Glyn, his reputaion will be in tatters.
Crafty David Townrow is creeping up on all thoughs who are unaware of his quite manner and early turn of speed in his AHS Leastone (ex Danny Hands machine) The 2 Dans would do well to keep an eye on this guy.
Drive of the day has to go to Ashley Sutton well done Ashley and all at Olivera camp great win well done lads.
